Augmentation
Let’s work together to achieve the results of your dreams.
Breast augmentation increases the size of the breast mound or can restore volume loss from pregnancy or weight loss. This can be achieved by using your own fat (fat grafting) or a prosthetic device (breast implant).
There are two types of implants: saline and silicone. Both types of implants have a heavier outer membrane, made of silicone. Saline implants are filled with saline, which is a mixture of sodium chloride and water. Silicone implants are filled with silicone gel. These cohesive silicone implants are also known as “gummy bear implants”. They are also firmer than the traditional silicone filling, that is of a liquid consistency, thus are able to hold their shape. Patients may elect one over the other based on the weight of the implant or how the implants feel. A dual plane technique is used to place the implant under the pectoral “pec” muscle. The size of your implants is largely up to you. Breast implants are not one-size fits all. Every patient’s body is different. Dr. Pflueger will guide you in your decision-making. It is helpful to bring photos with you to your initial consultation, showcasing women with your ideal breasts. We use a Rapid Recovery technique that allows you to get back to normal activities sooner and without the need for strong narcotic pain medication.
